WASHINGTON, March 19 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Sen. Bob Dole today
announced his first major post-election endeavor -- leading the
national campaign to build the World War II Memorial on the
National Mall.
Standing near the memorial's designated Rainbow Pool site, Sen.
Dole spoke of his strong commitment to the World War II Memorial.
"I humbly accept the honor to once again serve my country by
ensuring that the legacy of World War II is duly remembered," he
said. "The World War II Memorial will stand as a testament to what
Americans can accomplish when we stand together in a just and
common cause."
