WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 /U.S. Newswire/ -- President Clinton today announced his intent to nominate Barbara Holum as Member of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Holum, of Maryland, was sworn in as a Commissioner on November 28, 1993. She served as Acting Chair of the Commission from December 1993 to October 1994. Prior to joining the Commission, she founded and served as the Director of the National Endowment for Soil and Water Conservation, a non-profit organization which administers agricultural resource conservation programs and projects.
