today released the following state-by-state analysis of the education
and child care tax credits available to Americans in the balanced
budget agreement recently reached between the President and
Congressional leaders.
This analysis reflects the number of people who will benefit
over the next several years under this historic plan (Part 1 of 4):

-- 90,000 students in Alabama would receive a HOPE Scholarship
tax credit of up to $1,500.
-- 109,000 students in Alabama would receive the Lifetime
Learning Tax Credit.
