BOZEMAN, Mont., July 25, /U.S. Newswire/ -- The National Parks
and Conservation Association (NPCA) today announced that more
than 50 Montana business owners have joined a new "Bison Belong"
campaign.
The campaign, launched today at a Bozeman news conference,
aims to engage Montana's tourist-oriented business community
in helping to call for a solution to the bison management problem
at Yellowstone National Park. Implementation of current state
and federal policies led to the killing of 1,083 Yellowstone
bison when they strayed over the park's border into Montana
in search of food during last year's unusually severe winter.
