Article: D.C. Tax Commission to Hear Recommendation to Eliminate Personal Property Tax

News Advisory: On Tuesday, Dec. 16, the District of Columbia Tax Revision Commission will hear three presentations. Professor John Bowman, chair, economics department, Virginia Commonwealth University, will present data and recommendations about personal property taxes, including a recommendation to eliminate the tax on tangible, or business, personal property. This tax currently is the only personal property tax in the District.
