Article: BAMPAC Dinner To Signal Call For National Unity, Renewal, Healing; Black America's PAC Hosts Biennial Dinner Tonight

Black America's Political Action Committee (BAMPAC) will move forward with its 2001 Biennial Dinner tonight (Tuesday, Sept. 25) at 7 p.m., at The Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill and will call for a time of national unity renewal and healing after the Setp. 11 tragic events in New York and Washington.

"In light of the recent tragedy, the focus of the Biennial Dinner has been revised to be a time of unity, healing and renewal," said BAMPAC Executive Director Alvin Williams. "By spotlighting the accomplishments of our honorees, we will attempt to present the positive aspects of human nature to contrast the results of the negativity that we have witnessed in recent days."
