WASHINGTON, Sept. 7 /U.S. Newswire/ -- AdvaMed, the Advanced
Medical Technology Association said today that an FDA safety
assessment of DEHP provides some important information but not a
complete picture of the potential benefits and risks of vinyl
medical products that incorporate the material. DEHP (di(2-
ethylexyl)phthalate) is a softener used in various vinyl medical
devices.
