WASHINGTON, Nov. 8 /U.S. Newswire/ -- On Friday, Nov. 16, the
National Geographic Channel will unveil two exhibits featuring life-
sized skeletal casts of one of the largest croc species to ever walk
the planet, Sarcosuchus imperator, at the National Geographic
Society's Explorers Hall in Washington, D.C., and at the Natural
History Museum of Los Angeles County, Calif. Nicknamed "SuperCroc,"
the 110 million-year-old relative of the modern crocodile reached an
estimated 40 feet in length -- the size of a city bus -- and,
weighing as much as 10 tons, would have preyed on dinosaurs as part
of its diet.
