Article: Gore 2000: Social Security Must Continue to Guarantee Retirement Security

WASHINGTON, May 22 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Addressing the United Food and Commercial Workers, Al Gore today called for Social Security reform that preserves Social Security's basic guarantee of retirement security.

George W. Bush has promised to partially privatize Social Security as President. In his speech to the union's members, Gore also detailed his reasons for supporting Permanent Normal Trade Relations with China.
