WASHINGTON, July 11 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The following was released
today by Defenders of Wildlife:
The future of wolves in the northern Rockies may be decided in
the next few months, following today's release of the U.S. Fish and
Wildlife Service's (FWS) proposal to reclassify wolves throughout
the lower 48 states.
"The reintroduction of wolves to Yellowstone National Park and
central Idaho proved to be one of the most successful reintroduction
programs ever under the Endangered Species Act," said Hank Fischer,
