WASHINGTON, Sept. 11 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The Humane Society of the
United States (HSUS), the nation's largest animal protection
organization, is voicing its support for a proposed ban on the sale
of all fur products in San Francisco.
The San Francisco Commission of Animal Control and Welfare will
vote Thursday, Sept. 14, on whether to forward a proposal to the SF
Board of Supervisors advocating a ban on the sale of fur products
within the San Francisco city/county limits.
The groundbreaking proposal stems from a two-year undercover
investigation by The Humane Society of the United States into the
international trade in dog and cat fur. HSUS investigators
