WASHINGTON, Dec. 21 /U.S. Newswire/ -- President Clinton today announced the recess appointment of James V. Aidala to serve as Assistant Administrator for Prevention, Pesticides, and Toxic Substances at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Aidala was nominated to the Senate on March 7, 2000. This position is vital to the EPA's implementation of the Food Quality Protection Act designed to provide a higher level of protection from pesticide residue in food.
