Article: CAMP VIRGIL TATE EXTRAVAGANZA: ; Kanawha County reinvents its fair

It's a fair, after all, so there will be livestock and carnival rides.

But the Kanawha County Fair at Camp Virgil Tate this weekend will include much, much more.

There will be bluegrass music and comedy acts by day and a variety of headline acts each night. Sunday night's lineup will be punctuated by a 9 p.m. fireworks display.

There will be professional wrestling at 6 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.

There will be an old-fashioned ice cream social from 2 to 4 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, courtesy of Broughton Dairy.
