Article: Health department kicks off flu-shot campaign

The Kanawha-Charleston Health Department has begun its 2008 flu shot campaign, targeting at-risk populations.

This week, officials began giving shots at places such as senior centers and senior residential apartments.

Flu immunizations for the general public begin Oct. 14 and continue through November at the health department headquarters, 108 Lee St. E.

Hours for adults are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and children's clinics, for ages 10 and under, are 8 to 10:30 a.m. on Fridays. Flu mist, an intranasal mist, is available for children ages 2 to 18.
