MORGANTOWN - Goins, Goins, yet not gone.

Brannon Goins is seemingly the forgotten man when there is discussion about the West Virginia University tailback spot.

Yet, as Goins attests to, he is the one with the experience. Not speedy Notre Dame transfer Cooper Rego. Not the darling of spring drills, Avon Cobourne.

"We're all about the same," Goins said. "I think I cut a little more than anyone else does."

And he has cut against other I-A competition. Goins lost the usual redshirt season in his first in Morgantown when since-departed Amos Zereoue could not play last October at Temple.

The 5-foot-6, 185-pounder eventually performed in three games, carrying a combined 15 times for 67 yards. ...
