Article: Children take on 'Scrooge'

There really is no business like show business. The Children's Theater of Charleston is at it again.

While you were eating dinner and watching television Monday night, no fewer than 56 children were working at the Civic Center Little Theater, in rehearsal for "Scrooge," which will be performed this weekend. Three shows will be performed for the public, and six performances for schools already have sold out.

Director Debbie Rainey-Haught is glowing.

"These kids are more professional than many adult casts that I've worked with. We have some very fine actors and singers," she said.
