The average body strength of a pit bull can compromise that of a
grown man. Its massive jaws can crunch through bone in a single
chomp. With this feature, pit bulls could be capable killing
machines. But are they?
Many place faith in their violent reputation, while others defend
pit bulls and put at least part of the blame on owners.
Last week, a 16-year-old Charleston boy was taken into custody
after allegedly shooting a pit bull. The boy told Charleston police
he got out of his car and saw the dog in his Stadium Place yard,
Sgt. Brent Webster says.
Incidents involving pit bulls often make national news, but in
such cases, humans are usually the ones getting hurt or even ...
