What Summers County lacks in size and experience, it makes up for
in heart.
Coach Norman Farley said this year's roster, which averages a 180-
pound offensive line and includes only three players over 200
pounds, will have to focus on its speed.
"We don't have much size, so I hope we have some quickness," he
said. "I'm impressed with the whole team. Their work ethic is really
good. Our biggest strength is team unity. Every player is working
hard, trying to make everyone else better."
Summers County returns 6-foot, 180-pound "go-to" man Derrick
Martin, who rushed for over 1,000 yards in both his freshman and
sophomore seasons.
Martin, a junior, will also play defensive tackle.
