THERE was a fatal inevitablity about the fact that Max Power
magazine would
put its name to a driving game.
After all, the sort of teens who drool over a Vauxhall Nova with
wide
wheels and an exhaust the size of a dustbin are the same games
players who
rush out to buy titles like Gran Turismo and Need For Speed III.
Max Power Racing (Infogrames) is the result of a last minute title
tie-up
with the mag so at least the deal didn't influence the game.
Newcastle-based developer Eutechnyx has a good pedigree in this
genre, too.
Its last title, Total Drivin', was - and still is - one the most
comprehensive driving games ever to grace the PlayStation.
