SUNDERLAND-based transport group Arriva has completed its
acquisition of the Veonn Groep and Hanze Groep after being given
clearance for the deal by the Dutch competition authorities.
The move will give Arriva over 20 per cent of the bus market in
the Netherlands.
With 23,000 employees and a total bus fleet of 8,500, Arriva has
become the fourth largest private bus operator in Europe after the
completion of the deal.
