SINCE Germaine Greer resurrected the pornography debate in the
press several weeks ago, a number of quality newspapers have picked
up the baton - but run with it in an entirely different way.
From reading such reports, you would be forgiven for thinking
that we live in a society where pornography no longer degrades,
exploits or abuses. You could be forgiven for buying the line about
women's newfound, happy relationship with pornography - how they
have made a friend of what used to horrify so many of them.
Sadly for those of us who work in the field, no such porn utopia
exists. The industry which churns out more than #8 million per year
