School parking lots can always be improved. Administrators know
it, principals know it and parents definitely know it.
Now, thanks to the $36 million bond issue voters approved in
April, the St. Joseph School District will do something about it.
Improving parking at Mark Twain and Pickett elementary schools
are two projects the district will tackle in its fourth bid package.
Humboldt and Pershing elementary schools are also included in this
package.
Bids will be accepted until 2 p.m., March 8. The administration
will recommend which bid to accept at its school board meeting March
12.
The district plans to renovate all of its 25 buildings in the
next two-and-a-half years. The district has ...
