Velva I. Ballou

1914-2001

GRANT CITY, Mo. - Velva I. (Flannagan) Ballou, 87, Grant City, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001, at the Albany, Mo., hospital.

Mrs. Ballou, born in Craig, Mo., on April 11, 1914, resided in Kansas City, Mo., before moving to Grant City.

A homemaker, she attended the United Methodist Church in Grant City.

On Dec. 31, 1931, she married Raymond Ballou in Isadora, Mo. He died in 1987.

Mrs. Ballou also was preceded in death by a daughter, Ila Mattox; her parents, Frank and Maggie Flannagan; and a grandchild.

Surviving: two sons, Richard, Grant City, and Terry, Kansas City; two daughters, Bernice Sievert, Gladstone, Mo., and Ramona Scribner, Kansas City; 15 grandchildren; ...
