THE Government has promised to take action after a North-East MP
called for better protection for children with potentially fatal nut
allergies.
Phil Willis, Liberal Democrat MP for Harrogate and Knaresborough,
in North Yorkshire, demanded that the Government should improve
support for youngsters who are in danger because of severe allergic
reactions.
Mr Willis raised the issue following the concerns of a
constituent who complained after his son was denied access to a
Harrogate leisure scheme because staff refused to give him
adrenaline if he had an allergy attack.
