WORK has started on a 2m conversion of a former British Gas site
on the Team Valley estate in Gateshead.
UK Land Estates has started construction on two new factories and
an office block for the Express Group at Kings Park, Kingsway.
UK Land has agreed to build two new factories, a 15,000 sq ft
development and a smaller unit of 12,500 sq ft.
Both will be occupied by Tooling Technologies, a new company
formed by Express Engineering, a member of the Northern Defence
Initiative and a leading light in the NDI Aerospace Group.
Based on the Team Valley, the Express Group has specialist skills
in a range of engineering disciplines from industrial design and
