Andrew Cook would do well in Grand Opera. He has the right kind
of looks - plumed white hair swept back from a sharp-featured face
with strangely piercing eyes; and he has the temperament - high on
passion and given to mercurial swings of emotion complete with
temper tantrums. By his own admission, his personality divides
those who know him into two camps. "I tend to inspire people to
extremes of loyalty or detestation. That is the way I am made," he
declares.
