THE family trust of Lord Palumbo, the developer and former Arts
Council chairman, is hoping for a pounds 100m property windfall
from the sale of two City office blocks.
Palumbo is seeking to exploit a thriving central London market in
a move that will largely sever the family's long-standing ties with
the Square Mile and present investors with potentially one of the
most enticing City development opportunities this decade.
The buildings, St Swithin's House and Walbrook House, lie between
the Mansion House and Cannon Street and near Number One Poultry,
the office scheme that Palumbo is carrying out jointly with Trizec
Hahn, the American developer.
