THE MOST intrepid branch of the international sailing community is split. British yachtsmen in modern boats who have rounded Cape Horn have formed a breakaway movement to celebrate their achievement - to the fury of traditional "square riggers".

Some 200 British sailors have been consistently refused entry to the elite International Association of Cape Horners because they voyaged on modern vessels.
