PELE ONCE described Wembley as the church of football. The
Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, is the cathedral of rugby. Boyo, it is
some place to watch sport and some place to see England.
Whatever your colour or creed, be you little Englander or big
South African, when the dragon roars at the Millennium, the flames
lick the back of every neck in the 72,500 crowd. Unfortunately for
Wales, it set 15 Englishmen on fire too.
There were heavy delays on the M4, heading over the Severn bridge
yesterday. It was not just the weight of traffic; it was English
drivers slowing down to have a laugh.
