THE PRINCE of Wales has decided that he will never again talk publicly about his relationship with Camilla Parker Bowles or give an interview about his private life, his closest aides said yesterday.

Although he is relieved that he is now able to lead a more "normal" life with his companion and confidante, he believes that his decision to admit adultery in a television interview seven years ago was one of the biggest mistakes of his life.

The Prince, who is experiencing a run of favourable publicity over his handling of sensitive issues, including the foot and mouth crisis, wants his public work - not his private life - to determine how he is viewed by the nation.
