Six weeks after announcing that Psion was to cease production of its flagship handheld computers, David Levin, chief executive, is preparing to face investors. The company, which blazed a trail in electronic "organisers", must answer the question - what next?

Levin and David Potter, the chairman and founder of Psion, will meet City analysts and investors on Wednesday, when they are expected to announce a loss of around pounds 50m for the first half of this year.

It will be the first chance that many investors have had to quiz Psion's chairman and chief executive on the dramatic restructuring and new strategy announced last month.
