We might not have rush hour in Dubuque, but that doesn't mean we don't have rushed drivers.

Half of those surveyed in a recent national study said rushing to their destinations is why they run red lights, according to a highway official.

"Based on my experience, when drivers are in a hurry and see a light that is changing to yellow, they have a tendency to speed up to make it on the yellow," said Bobby Blackmon, Division Administrator of the Federal Highway Administration.
