Article: Hope for Main St. building?

Nearly three years after a fire destroyed the former Zachary's Jewelers store at 122 Main St. on Thanksgiving weekend in 2005, progress in getting the building off the ground is still inching along.

But now, with a new approved design in hand, zoning and insurance hurdles almost behind them and a tentative construction start date, the developers are getting ready to fill the noticeable void. If everything goes according to plan, downtown visitors should be seeing some activity at the site in the first half of next year.
