Victims of hate crimes are invited to two special police events
in Somerset to address the issue.
The events at Dunster and Yeovil are the last in a series of
Harassment or Prejudice Events (HOPE) across the county. Those who
are worried about becoming a target are also welcome.
Police officers are joined by local authorities, housing
organisations, the Crown Prosecution Service, Somerset Racial
Equality Council and the Witness Service to host the meetings.
The aim is to encourage victims of hate crime who might be
frightened to report the matter to the police to speak to agencies
who can help.
