Dr. Kent E. Carr has been named senior vice president of
physician services for Lancaster General, beginning Oct. 20. He will
replace Dr. Jerome I. Gottlieb, who is retiring to focus on his
private forensic and consultative psychiatric practice. Carr will be
responsible for the daily operations of Lancaster General Medical
Group's network of 20 medical practices. He is coming to Lancaster
from Des Moines, Iowa, where he is president and chief executive of
Mercy Clinics Inc., a 155-physician multispecialty group practice.
Dolores "Dori" Markley, of Strasburg, has been promoted to
partner, shareholder and corporate secretary at Vaughn Financial
Advisors, of Strasburg.
