Stuart Coates' late try was enough for East Hull to sneak a 28-
22 victory over West Hull.
East Hull were maybe the luckier of the two sides, while West
Hull failed to cash in on chances to give coach Craig Murdock his
first ever win over the current champions.
Easts assistant coach Andrew Mighty was delighted with the win
and said: "We're quite happy as any derby is not going to be a
classic, rough and tough up front, but we got the two points.
"We were quite fortunate to get the win as I don't think we did
quite enough in terms of using the wind.
"For me Gary Weymes is the best hooker in the competition by far
and he is enhancing his reputation in every game.
