Hull: A new community legal advice centre will be open for
business on Monday at its new premises in Essex House, city centre.
People can look forward to accessing advice on a wider range of
legal problems, thanks to the joint venture by the Legal Services
Commission (LSC) and Hull City Council.
Advice provider A4e signed a three-year contract last month,
which will see it and Howells Solicitors provide specialist advice
at the centre in a number of areas relating to civil legal aid.
Peter Nelson, regional director of the LSC, said: "The number of
people seeking legal advice in Hull is increasing year on year and
we are committed to meeting that demand.
