WOOSTER -- OK, future brides and grooms. Get ready for your jaw
to hit the floor.
According to costofwedding.com, the average wedding in the U.S.
in 2008 cost nearly $29,000. In today's economy, many brides-to-be
and their future husbands, as well as their families, reach for a
way to have a perfectly flawless wedding for less than half of that
amount. But even being able to afford $12,000 or more for nuptials
can be a very difficult chore.
Although the national average is so high, most couples spend
between $7,183 and $21,549, while their wedding budget is typically
50 percent less than the amount spent, according to the Web site.
