John C. Sloat, 48, of York, passed away Saturday, October 11,
2008 at his residence. He was the husband of Teresa A. (Loucks)
Sloat to whom he was married for 13 years on Sept. 16, 2008.
A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 7:00 PM
Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory,
Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. A viewing will be held from 5-7:00 PM
Thursday at the Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Suburban
Memorial Gardens.
Born November 23, 1959 in Hellam, a son of the late Stewart F.
and Mabel P. (Fahringer) Sloat, he was a graduate of the former York
Vo-Tech. Mr. Sloat was a lifelong farmer and had also previously
