A New pounds106,000 mobile centre that helps detect brittle bone
disease is to take to the roads across East Yorkshire.
Charity Osteoporosis Research in East Yorkshire (Osprey) raised
pounds106,000 in just 12 months to provide the lorry, which has been
fitted with equipment to detect signs of brittle bone disease.
It will now tour villages and towns in East Yorkshire, from
Driffield to Hedon, testing people for the condition.
It will also attend GP surgeries across East Yorkshire, enabling
doctors to refer patients for scans instead of having to wait for
hospital appointments.
