MILFORD -- Author Isak Dinesen once said, "To be a person is to have a story to tell." The Graduate Institute's Master of Arts in Oral Traditions program asks participants, "What stories do you tell -- to your co-workers? To your neighbors, family and friends? To yourself? What stories have shaped who you are?"

The Master of Arts in Oral Traditions is one of four unique, transdisciplinary Master of Arts degrees offered by The Graduate Institute. The Oral Traditions program explores the function of storytelling in the modern world and the ways that words and narratives shape cultures.
