Considerable strength in depth allowed Bradford on Avon Amateur
Swimming Club to field three teams in different events - and all
enjoyed success.
The club's Masters, aged 25 and over, excelled at the Wiltshire
Championships in Salisbury, winning 14 gold medals between them.
Rebecca Smith led the way with four and set a new record of 1min
11.57secs in the 4x25m individual relay as she finished joint winner
of the Under-40s Individual Women's Cup.
She would have been outright winner had her sister Bethan not
beaten her into second place in the butterfly.
Other gold medals went to Sharyn Carling (4), Jon Dyke (3), Nick
Matthews and Phil Gaffney as Bradford finished fourth overall,
