Growing up, Joe Dalgo Jr. always had dogs, cats, reptiles,
hamsters and other pets.
"I always had a fascination with animals and there was a bond,"
said Dalgo, owner and veterinarian at Barataria Animal Hospital.
"Growing up in a country town, we really rarely saw a veterinarian,
but I knew I wanted to do something in the medical field."
