Cometh the hour, cometh the deadly weapon that is John Terry's
forehead to sort out Chelsea's problems. Just when their Champions
League progress was starting to look complicated and the reserves of
Luiz Felipe Scolari's new revolution of beautiful football looked
like they might be drying up, so came the captain to head in the
winner.
It had been far from simple until the 78th minute, with Chelsea
shackled by an Italian performance that was shamelessly negative but
resolute. It almost worked, too, until Terry connected with Frank
Lampard's corner to score the goal that puts Chelsea on top of
Champions League Group A with seven points. This being Terry he
almost injured ...
