YUCAIPA - The new St. Frances X. Cabrini Catholic Church in
Yucaipa brought together thousands - some from as far as Las Vegas.
"We were here for the ground breaking, and we wouldn't have
missed the Dedication Mass," said Teri Love, who along with her
husband, Kevin, and three children, made the drive from Nevada.
"This is special to be here," she said. "We used to live in
Yucaipa, and we miss it, the parish most of all."
They joined more than 3,000 people at the Dedication Mass for the
new church in Yucaipa on Saturday.
The Most Rev. Gerald R. Barnes, bishop of the Diocese of San
Bernardino, presided over the Mass and addressed the congregation.
