KAMPALA, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- The Ugandan government said on Monday that resolution of Africa's conflicts will top its priorities when it takes up its new position at the UN Security Council early next year.

Sam Kutesa, minister for foreign affairs told reporters here that conflicts in the Great Lakes region, Somalia, Sudan's Darfur region, Chad-Sudan must be resolved and those in the making prevented, citing the lack of full implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement between the government of Sudan and the Sudan People's Liberation ...
