Torrential overnight rain meant even Churston's free draining
course was left with pools in some bunkers and other distinctly
soggy areas (writes Pat Bray).
So run on the ball for the ladies' popular Texas Scramble was
pretty limited.
None were better than the trio of Rosie Cirin, Sue Eames and Jean
Barrell, who despite a meagre handicap allowance of just 2.9,
managed to card a superb 68.1.
