Buffy, you're finished. The vampires have won, taking over our
screens and stages, our books and televisions. Again. As if they
ever left.
"Vampires don't disappear, ever," said Mary Findley, who created
a course called The Vampire in Literature, Culture and Film at
Vermont Technical College. "They've actually attained the
immortality the legend says they have."
With the Nov. 21 release of "Twilight," a feature film based on
Stephenie Meyer's blockbuster book series; "True Blood," HBO's new
series by "Six Feet Under" creator Alan Ball and the recently
departed, but still lamented "Moonlight" (canceled by CBS in May);
