For three East Dubuque women, taking up residence in Bell Tower
Retirement Community is a continuation of their lives in their
hometown.Although Lil Accola grew up in Dubuque, she lived on
Clinton Street for many years, as had Jackie Bohlen and Virginia
Fleege."It's strange that we all lived on the same street all those
years and now are the first residents here at Bell Tower," said
Bohlen."I like living here because I'm not alone," said Accola, 89,"
and I don't have to do any cooking or cleaning unless I want
to!"Fleege, also 89, moved in after the death of her husband. They
had been married 69 years and had been living in a nursing home in
