HUNDREDS of people face the mess and expense of a burst pipe this
winter, Northern Ireland Water has warned.
But with predictions of a frosty November, the water group has
urged people to take preventative measures so that they don't end up
having to cope with flooding.
NI Water said temperatures at the end of the October were among
the lowest since 1934 and November also looks set for a big chill.
Homeowners are responsible for the pipework within their
property, but with the right advice they can avoid the cost of a
major repair job cause by frozen and burst pipes, it added.
